Red Tails

Director: Anthony Hemingway
DOP: John B. Aronson
Production: Partnership Pictures / Lucasfilm

A World War II movie about African American pilots facing racial prejudice in the US Army Air Forces has been filmed along picturesque coastline of Rovinj and small villages of Istria in Croatia. The producer Rick McCallum is well known for his work with George Lucas on Star Wars and Red Tails was his first project in Croatia.

“I can’t tell you how incredibly happy I am with the way you set up and ran the Croatia shoot for Red Tails. From the very beginning I have had supreme confidence in you and your crew and have felt nothing but safe and secure throughout. You responded perfectly to our needs, without any drama or tension and took care of everything so completely that we barely did a thing and didn’t have to worry about the Croatia shoot at all. You all made it so easy and such fun for all of us – thank you!”
