Filming inside a protected nature reserve added an extra layer of complexity to this already ambitious sci-fi series. Everything built on set had to be made from natural materials to comply with environmental regulations, while heavy machinery was carefully maneuvered near a pristine alpine lake to assist with lighting and stunt rigging.
