The Weekend Away

A weekend getaway to Croatia goes awry when Beth (Leighton Meester) is accused of killing her best friend Kate (Christina Wolfe). As she attempts to clear her name and uncover the truth, her efforts unearth a painful secret. Based on the novel by Sarah Alderson.

The entirety of this movie was prepped and shot on location in Split, utilizing existing natural environments. This approach involved significant dressing and rearranging of existing flats and apartments, foregoing any traditional studio builds. The production heavily relied on local Heads of Department, including the Production Designer, Makeup Designer, Gaffer, Key Grip, Sound Mixer, Steadicam operator, and drone operators.
